Bhaktapur as in the matter of sphere is the smallest district in the country. With a total area of 119 square kilometers (46 sq mi). Yet, it holds the four foremost beautiful places of the Kathmandu valley as it’s municipalities. The municipalities, that the burgh, Bhaktapur currently is holding are as follows:

This ancient burgh, surprisingly, was the most powerful kingdom of the Kathmandu Valley during the 14th-16th century of the time. But, before that time phase, it was very popular as khopring. Which later on transmutes as Khwopa. That’s why the native residences of Bhaktapur still call this burgh as khwopa. Though, it is also popular as Bhadgaun, after Bhaktapur.

The city has approximately a population of 3,04,651, according to the 2011 Nepal census records. According to the same census, about 46.5 % of the population of Bhaktapur speaks the Nepalese Language. Similarly, 41.6% of people use Newa Bhasa to communicate. Likewise, Tamang, Maithili, Magar, and Bhojpuri language is also spoken in the proportion of 7.8%, 1.1%, 0.5%, and 0.5% respectively.

Likewise, the altitude of its varies from 1372 to 2191m. And, the temperature, from 2 to 32-degree celsius. The highest point of Bhaktapur is a paradise-like place, Nagarkot.
