The dish, yomari is a steamed dumpling of the Newari dishes like momo in the Nepali recipe. Yes, these dumplings are filled with chaku, chocolate-like food or khuwa within the confection of rice flour and are prepared in a special festival named yomari punhi. Even, the festival is devoted to the name of this dish. That’s why this dish is very important to newa people. This mari (roti) took a bit more time to be cooked than chatamari and bara like dish. Whereas, it is considered as one of the delicious food of Newari cuisine. You won’t be satisfied with one piece of yomari, once you taste it.
