Tara Lal Shrestha is a writer, researcher, cyclist, and social scientist known for his work on cycling culture, urban mobility, and community development in Nepal. He is the author of Cycle Aesthetics (साइकल सौन्दर्य), one of Nepal’s pioneering books exploring cycling beyond transportation – as a philosophy, culture, heritage, tourism, and sustainable urban movement. Through years of research and advocacy, he has contributed to conversations around bicycle-friendly cities, heritage conservation, public spaces, and community-led cycling initiatives across Nepal.
Host: Sumit Bala is an engineer, cyclist, and community advocate passionate about promoting cycling culture, heritage conservation, and sustainable cities. As a core member of Cycle Connect Bhaktapur, he explores stories, ideas, and inspiring personalities working towards healthier communities, active mobility, and the preservation of Nepal’s cultural identity.
